I’vonne Carlton Lamont Brown departed this earth unexpectedly on February 12, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on October 8, 2007, to Heidi Tharbs and Terrance Brown, who survive him.
I’vonne was a student at Job Corps, where he was determined to complete his education and pursue a trade. He was a calm and quiet young man who deeply loved and cherished his family and friends. I’vonne had a love for basketball, fishing, and video games. I’vonne had a smile that could light up any room he entered, leaving a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him.
His bond with his sister and grandmother was especially dear to his heart. He often told his grandmother that he was going to prove the world wrong and make something of himself. True to his word, he was actively working toward accomplishing his goals at the time of his passing. I’vonne loved his cousins dearly, sharing special bonds with them that felt more like siblings than cousins and they navigated life together.
I’vonne leaves to honor and cherish his memory his loving parents, Heidi Tharbs-Brown and Terrance Brown Sr; his siblings, I’dieh Brown, Terrance Brown Jr., and Bryant Brown; his maternal grandmother, Yvonne (Gene) Nugent; his paternal grandmother, Viveca Trotter; and his maternal great-grandmother, Alma Hill. He is also survived by his aunts, Heather Tharbs, Holly( Husband) Tharbs and Niesha Phillps; his uncles, Robert Tharbs, Yorlin B. Tharbs, and Charles Allen Brown; and his special cousins, Heaven Murray and Hezekiah Mitchell, special uncles Kenneth R Lax, and Alfernando(Yolanda) Corky Tharbs. I’vonne had a special family whom he loved and cherished every moment with Marla Carter and Jesse James, bonus brothers Coden and Cory Carter, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather Boba Tharbs Sr, Maternal Grandfather Ricky Maddox and his special cousin Aniya Tharbs.
Though his time on earth was brief, I’vonne’s light, love, and determination will continue to shine through all who loved him. His memory will be treasured always. Arrangements have been entrusted to www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com where condolences may be shared.
